Papua New Guinea's Minister for Petroleum visits CAMCE

On May 21, Wang Bo, Chairman of China CAMC Engineering Co., Ltd. (CAMCE), met with a delegation led by Jimmy Maladina, Minister for Petroleum of Papua New Guinea, at the company's headquarters in Beijing. The delegation was in China to attend the 29th World Gas Congress. Yan Hailu, Deputy General Manager of CAMCE, also attended the meeting.

Chairman Wang warmly welcomed Minister Maladina and his delegation on behalf of the company. He introduced the company's development history, strategic plans, and core business progress—highlighting signature engineering achievements and innovations in the oil and gas sector.?

Wang noted that CAMCE, backed by the strong scientific and industrial foundation of the Sinomach, leverages its strength in surveying, design and consulting, equipment R&D and manufacturing, industrial construction, and project financing. With integrated capabilities across the entire industrial chain, the company provides comprehensive "one-stop shop" for engineering solutions targeting large-scale industrial projects.

Wang also expressed the company's desire to establish a long-term partnership with Papua New Guinea, aiming together to explore new opportunities in the petrochemical sector, among others. He affirmed a shared commitment to advancing high-quality Belt and Road cooperation and contributing to the social and economic development of Papua New Guinea along with the broader Asia-Pacific region.

Minister Maladina thanked Chairman Wang for the warm reception and spoke highly of CAMCE's full-spectrum engineering capabilities and achievements in oil and gas. He stated that Papua New Guinea, as a key oil and gas producer in the Asia-Pacific, holds significant potential for energy infrastructure development and industrial modernization.?

He noted that the professional standards and technological strength demonstrated by CAMCE align well with the ministry's development goals. By leveraging complementary strength and exploring innovative methods of cooperation, both sides can jointly build flagship energy projects in the South Pacific,?ultimately contributing to the long-term prosperity of Papua New Guinea.
