SUMEC's affiliated shipping company,?SUMEC Marine?Co.,?Ltd., has recently secured a new shipbuilding contract with Japanese shipowner Kasuga Shipping Co., Ltd. for two Crown 63 3.0 bulk carriers. At the same time, the Crown 63 3.0 vessel "Dubai Nature", built for a UAE-based shipowner, was officially named and delivered.

This marks the second collaboration between Kasuga Shipping and SUMEC after a one-year hiatus, further reinforcing the market presence of the "Crown" series. It also injects renewed momentum into the global newbuilding market. SUMEC Marine continues to align with green and smart shipping trends by upgrading product iterations, reducing ship life-cycle operating costs, and supporting customers in enhancing their competitiveness amid global decarbonization efforts.

The "Dubai Nature" is the second of six vessels ordered by the same shipowner. It meets EEDI Phase 3 energy efficiency standards and complies with Tier III environmental protection requirements. The cargo hold has been specially reinforced for transporting steel and heavy coil steel, while maintaining excellent fuel efficiency to help minimize operating costs.
